Art Classes for seniors

Drawing

Working from still-life, photographs and independent ideas, students will be introduced to drawing fundamentals and techniques including elements of line, composition, proportion, perspective, volume, light and shadow, value and texture. Students will learn how to record what they observe and the various ways in which the elements, principles of design and composition can be used to create an expressive work of art..Students need to bring own drawing paper pencils and some other drawing materials provided.

Senior Drawing class $40

Acrylic Painting

This course will focus on the fundamentals of using artist acrylic paint. Class size is limited to allow for individual instruction each student will work on projects of choice. Students will need to bring in materials for the class. Materials needed: Canvas to paint on acrylic paint, paint palette and brushes

Creativity Explored
This class is focused on experimenting and looking at art in different ways

This is a fun and challenging class intended for artists or anyone interested in experimenting with different medias and styles. The goal is to stimulate creative thought by utilizing new ways of thinking about the artistic process. This class will use a verity of classic art materials as well as some non-traditional materials to create art using different techniques and principles of composition
