Artist Information
I’d like to introduce myself as your new art instructor. I am an accomplished artist and experienced teacher, as well as an active civic volunteer in Fremont. I currently work for the City of Fremont Recreation Department, teaching art classes for children and adults.
I received my A.A. in Fine Arts from Ohlone College, and a B.A. in Studio Art from California State University, East Bay, where I also earned a Certificate in Art Museum and Gallery Studies.
As an artist, I recreate local landscapes and scenes from my travels, pets and flowers. My artwork often starts with a series of detailed drawings that may evolve into an abstract painting, a detailed mosaic, a whimsical assemblage, ceramic sculpture or an intricate pen and ink illustration. The arts are my passion, and I look forward to nurturing this same love in my students. Students will learn to transform what they can see and imagine into wonderful drawings and paintings to be cherished forever.
